  • Bassani Sweeper Exhaust for Softails?

    Q: 

    I see that Bassani offers the Sweeper Exhaust for Softails in black. The Bassani Part number is SFT-336B. I was wondering if this exhaust system was available through J&P Cycles.

    A: 

    Yes, we have added part number SFT-336B Snake Charmer Black Exhaust System for 86-06 FXST to our system.  They are now available to order.

  • Dunlop D404 Tires not for Touring models?

    Q: 

    You claim that the Dunlop D404 is not suitable for Harley Davidson Touring models. My question to you is, why not?  Please get back to me on this as I am getting ready to order some new tires. Thank you.

    A: 

    The D404's can be used on the Sportsters.  Their load rating is not great enough for use on the Big Twin Harley models. If you put these on a Touring bike you would not get many miles out of them.

  • 1981 Shovel Pushrod Seal Kit?

    Q: 

    Hi, I recently bought part number 431-460 Pushrod Seal Kit for my 1981 Shovel.  It came with quad seal o-rings and mine uses the plain o-rings.  Will these work or were they mis-packaged?

    A: 

    Yes, they are packaged correctly and they will work in your Shovel.

  • 2003 Valkyrie Exhaust Tips?

    Q: 

    I have a 2003 Honda Valkyrie and the exhaust tips look like vaccum cleaner tips.  Will part number ZZ84386 for the Gold Wing my Valkyrie?  

    A: 

    No, these will not fit the Valkyrie because the Gold Wing exhaust has a different outside diameter.

  • 2001 Indian Scout offer levers?

    Q: 

    I would like to put brass or gold hand levers on my 2001 Indian Scout.  Do you offer these?

    A: 

    We do not offer brass or gold levers but we do have polished levers that you can have plated or powdercoated.

  • 2007 V-Star 1100 Classic Turn Signal Brackets?

    Q: 

    Can you please send me pictures of all the different types of front turn signal brackets for a 2007 V-Star 1100 Classic?  I am particularly interested in part numbers ZZ31172, ZZ31176, and ZZ31062.  If you could show me pics of what they look like on the bike I will be buying one of them.

    A: 

    The first two part numbers must be new items because they have not yet been added to the website.  The only pictures we have of these items at this time are the ones you are seeing in the catalog.  The third part number is for the Headwinds brackets that allow you to mount bullet turn signals to the bottom of your headlight mount so they are tucked in low on either side of the headlight.  We've used them on a couple of springers and they're real nice. I checked the manufacturer's website to see if they have a picture of them on a bike but they show the same picture we have. Hopefully you can visualize these from my description.

  • Memphis Shades Lowers Hardware Kit?

    Q: 

    I have a question about the Memphis Shades Lowers Hardware Kit, part number 750-352.  In the 2007 Metric Catalog, the part number has an asterisk and states "Note: For mounting the Memphis Shades Lowers when a Memphis Shades Windshield is not being used."  Does this mean that if I order the Memphis Shades windshield 750-219 and mounting kit ZZ75088, I don't need kit 750-352 to mount the lowers?  Does it mean that the lowers won't fit on my bike with the windshield installed?

    A: 

    According to Memphis Shades, their lowers fit with their windshields. You will need part number 750-352 to mount the lowers and ZZ75088 to mount the windshield.

  • 2004 Honda Shadow Aero Trailer Wiring Harness?

    Q: 

    I am looking to purchase a trailer wiring harness for a 2004 Honda Shadow Aero. I would need an isolator relay and any other necessary items.  My trailer has a 4-plug connector.  Can you recommend appropriate product?

    A: 

    Kuryakyn makes a Trailer Wiring Harness, part number ZZ38116. This harness requires Universal Sub-Harness, part number 300-081 and in your case a 4-Wire Converter, part number 300-082 . All of these items are in stock and available to ship immediately.

  • 2007 FLSTC Cycle Shack Slip-On Mufflers and K&N Filter?

    I'm looking for Cycle Shack Slash Cut Slip-On Mufflers and a K&N filter for a 2007 FLSTC (Heritage Softail Classic).  Could you send me the part numbers for these items?

    The Cycle Shack Slash Cut Slip-ons are part number 450-555 and the K&N Replacement Air Filter is part number 400-877.  The K&N Recharger Filter Care Service Kit is part number 400-862 . Don't forget to pick up a fuel injection controller while you're at it.  We offer a variety of items to re-map your air/fuel ratio.

    Will a Power Commander work on a 2001 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with Magnetti Marelli fuel injection?

    Yes, part number 720-427 works on the 1999-2001 EFI Touring models.

  • 2005 H-D XL1200R Mirrors?

    Q: 

    Will part numbers 760-566 and 760-565 fit a 2005 H-D XL1200R?

    A: 

    Yes they will fit as long as you use the right side mirror adapter, part number 7600320 (black) or 7600240 (chrome).

  • Front Brake Line Set for 1984-87 FXR?

    Q: 

    I need a front brake line set that runs from the master cylinder to the caliper.  It is approx. 48" and has various sections that are hose and metal tube.

    A: 

    Stock length for the 1984-87 FXR models is 41-3/4". A +6 line will put you at 47-3/4". The part number for that with braided stainless steel casing (we do not offer any rubber stock-type hoses) is 241-409.

  • Tubes for Tires on 2000 V-Star 1100?

    Q: 

    I have a 2000 V-Star 1100.  I bought new tires for this bike but I want to put new tubes in while its apart.

    A: 

    Front 130/90/16 steel center valve stem. The rear 170/80/15 steel center valve stem 90 degree angle. The front tube is ZZ21758 and the rear tube is ZZ21755 .

  • 2006 FLSTNI Oil Pressure Switch?

    Could you tell me if part number 740-501 mounts on the oil pressure switch on an 06 FLSTNI?

    Yes, this will fit the oil pressure switch on all 99-07 Twin Cams including the 06 FLSTNI.
