    What will fit 89 frame?

Hello, friend has a 1989 Sportster frame that had an Evo/Buell combo (1200)? He is not 100% sure of what was what so what I am trying to find out, is there a 1200 that could be a direct fit for his 89 frame or something with minimmal modification. I know from 57-03 the engine was frame mounted but am trying to find accurate info and I know Ive had good luck in these forums when asking about my Dyna so here's to hoping....

Fx, staff can answer this for you, but they are scarce here lately. You could call tech, and they would be able to help...

Fxdbad - first, welcome back tothe forums.

If it was me, I would start with a parts manual, in particular one that covers multiple years.  you would have to do some research on parts, but by looking at range of years (i.e. engine cases, engine to frame mounts, etc.) you should get a pretty good idea what will fit.

    hope this helps
