Gonza, you really should change the rim as said by staff in another thread. You'll change the geometry of the bikes original design, that could possibly adversly effect handling, and clearance with the fender, frame, and belt...

Check out the 'tires-2002  Fatboy' thread in 'Big Twin' forums...

    Re: does size really matter...

THANKS FOR THE INFO..BUT WHAT SIZE RIM DO YOU SUGEST ...NOW I ADDED CONVERSION KIT AND WAS RUNNING A SIZE 200 BUT THE FENDER THAT CAME WITH THE KIT IS SO WIDE THAT THE 200 LOOKS TO SMALL FOR THE FENDER SO THATS WHY I AM TRYING TO GO UP TO A 240...BOUGHT TIRE BUT DUE TO THE RIM THE 240 LOOK THINNER THAN I EXPECTED... NOT MUCH DIFFRENCE THAN THE 200...THIS DUE TO 18 SIZE RIM...SO HELP ME OUT WITH THE CORRECT RIM SIZE FOR THE 240...PLEASE ...THANKS...

Gonza, staff will have to answer this, as they have all the specs. If a tech doesn't see this, you can call them...

according to Avon, the 200-18 needs a 6-6.5 inch rim, while the 240-18 requires a 8-9 inch rim. you can see specs here---http://www.avonmoto.com/street-tires/cruiser-touring/cobra/, so yes, a rim change is required

    The 240 requires an 18" x 8.5" wheel.
