    97 1200 custom blue smoke

Ok guys I'm looking for a way a can diagnose a problem I have. Apparently when I accelerate hard my bike blew out some blueish smoke. I know black smoke is to much fuel and blue is oil. Which isn't good. Can you guys give me some ideas how I can diagnose the problem. The bike does have pipes and air intake. Thank you

demott - first, welcome ot the forums - what part of the country are yoiu from?

As you noted, blue smoke is normally oil and the two normal sources are from worn rings or leaking from the heads arround the valve seals.  The first test I would perform is a compression test - this should help you to identify which is the likely source.

    Hope this helps

The first tool out of the box should be the "book"  Geeked
