I have a yr2000 Yamaha vstar 1100 w/ Cobra loboy shotguns and the kuryakin hypercharger. Lately she has been backfiring and sputtering when running a bit hot, it goes away once I get her up to highway speeds for a while. I was looking at the pro-one oil cooler (zz74124) and was thinking that it in conjunction with the Baron's oil filter relocation kit (zz74201) it would fit my bike even tho it is not designed to do so as a stand alone. Can anyone either confirm, or correct me, or tell me if they think I am barking up the wrong tree as to the backfireing. Thanks

Lord From Looking at this kit and how they would work in conjuntion with each other. I don't think its going to work. Im going to have the parts pulled and see if the adapter for the oil cooler will fit on the pro oine relocation kit. I will let you know

Lord I pulled those parts and they will work together the oil sump filter studs are the same. The only thing i can see that is going to be a problem is finding a place to mount all this stuff on the motorcycle. And if you have any aftermarket parts on the front of the bike I can see having some cleaance issues. Especially with an aftermarket exhaust or a highway bar.

Dtodd, thank you much for the research. Aside from the pipes themselves I needed to relocate the rear brake master cylinder when installing them. Otherwise the area (albeit sparce) is 'factory'. Thank you again for looking it up. guess I will have to figure out how to make it all fit.

Hey I have an '02 and was thinking same.  Did you get it to work?

I was looking at the Perf-Form filter relocation/cooler system.  Just not sure if thats enough cooling power.  Anyone have inforamation on this?
