Ya know the spoke wheels look nice but there a real PITA when you get a flat and their a bear to clean. Not trying to talk you out of it but have you looked at the One-Piece Chrome Forged Aluminum Wheels

I know there twice the price or I would have already had mine changed out...but man they look good.

    Re: spoke wheels

Hi Xea, I have a similar question but need a different answer, please...

Want to take off the 19x2.5" FRONT 10 spoke cast OEM wheel off my '08 Dyna-FXD-SuperGlide and replace with SS-spoke, aluminum hub, wire wheel. (I've already scored a rear OEM 17" wire wheel)

(My '08 FXD has a 25mm axle and forks are 49mm)

I think there may be a problem with single rotor match up because the front one I have looks to be a larger radius bolt pattern than the wire-spoke hubs...true?    (rear disc rotor is a match between the cast wheel and the wire-hub wheel. I think)

If so, what do I do to make the new rotor placement switch work?

And, is there a SS wire-spoke front wheel (19x2.5") that will fit my '08 FXD in the catalog?

I did see PN 203-286 $484.99 page 723: is the hub chrome steel? want alum... and want stainless spokes...

Mahalo - thank you for your attention. (last time you helped me was lowering the front the FXD by raising the tubes in the trees...worked great)

    Re: spoke wheels

PN 203-286 will be the correct choice for your application. However they are laced with chrome spokes, not stainless.  I called the supplier and the hub is aluminum. I asked if they where willing to lace one with stainless spokes and they said no.

As far as the rotor bolt pattern, they are all the same from 84 on up. The 2000 up wheels have a bigger bearing package so the I.D. of the rotor gets bigger.

    Re: spoke wheels

Xea, Thanks for the reply on the rim issue.........!

My concern is that the OEM 10-spoke cast wheel that came with the '08 FXD has rotor mounting holes that are way out on the spokes away from the cast hub body. The front rotor is not solid to the bearing hole but has a very large ID more than most other rotors.

I think I need to buy new rotors that will work on the PN 203-286 front wheel.

Question: Do I need to buy a new "correct" rotor for the change to the laced spoke wheel?

    Mahalos - Thank you again.

    Got your pictures.

I see what you mean. Yes, you will need a different rotor. Measure the OD to verify, but I think PN 241-686 $ 104.99 should work for the wheel you are selecting.
