Generally my snapishness(is that a word?) is directly related to how many cups of coffee I've had that day, or shot'sBeer!

Hey Michael, I didn't forget you, why don't you give us a bit more info on your bike and your specific set up. stock, total custom, what kind of oil you running at 95-100 ambient temps? etc.

    Re: Looking for Cylinder Fan

So, it is a '93 FLSTC (Heritage Softail Classic), with S&S V107T Engine, IST ignition and S&S Carb (crate/pre-built).  Lockhart Oil Cooler.  Running Mobil 1 V-Twin Syn Oil as per S&S instructions.  Baker DD6 Tranny.  I run around 2000-3000rpm normally.  Sitting in traffic I idle at 1k.  Let me know what else you want to know.

One of my Buds mounted a computer fan to his Road King, and he said it worked pretty well. Maybe that would work for you as well.

    Good luck,

Hi, just in here looking around, as I haven't been here in a while.

Anyway, LeNale Engineering makes an aftermarket cooling fan for V-twins. Cheaper than the MoCo piece. Just google "LeNale Engineering"

Marlin makes a cyl head temp gauge for v-twins. JaP sells Marlin stuff, Xea can prolly get it for you.

    See ya...

Ultra, I'm thinking of just moving to a colder climate. Some place like Indiana or Amarillo. What do you think?

Thanks Ultra, I think the LeNale is exactly what I am looking for.

     Mike,

I can't vouch for these fans personally because I don't have one installed on my bike but I know a guy who spent a considerable amount of time riding in the desert and he swore it kept his engine from overheating.  I'm pretty sure if you contact LeNale Engineering they'll be glad to answer all of your questions.  Good luck!

Wouldn't this be good to put on all bikes?? (cost aside) A cooler running engine always runs better and last longer, right??
