 At last after 2 no 3 years, I have a Tach on my 06 1200C SPORTY with the help of J.P. Tech Support I was able to hook this Tach up. My Sporty did not come with a Tach

the C models don't come with one. I was able to buy (J.P.) A ADAPTER (Crane Cams) which did the trick, but I would not have done this with out first talking to  J.P. Tech

Support & they gave me good info on how to hook this up.

 After one long day of wring I was able to get this to work AT LAST

 have the same bike, can you elaborate on the instalation process with part #s please?

Yes I used P/N 5000265 Tach which you hook up the lights & 12v ING ( I hooked pig tailed the hot light with 12v ING.) then hook up Ground & last the green wire hooks up to the short black wire on the crane adapter P/N 381-331 White wire goes to P1 - coil & long black wire goes to the other - coil P3 last blue wire from the adpter hooks up to P- white The 3 wires from the coil is right on top of the coil 3 pins it dose not mater how you hook up the - coil outside pins but p2 the middle wire must be hooked up to blue off the adapter Hope that helps? This is a Ground Sensing Tach Hook up
