    Transmission plate question for staff?

I have a custom build with a 66 frame, I know that it is made for a 4 speed but do they make a tranny plate to adapt a 5 or 6 speed? I understand the issues with the primary and such.

Should be possible.  I used something like 6300283 to put a 6-speed softail trans into a Santee panhead-era rigid frame.  A staffer should be able to confim exactly what would work.

Re: Transmission plate question for staff?

In a rigid frame its no problem, I'm trying to use the original swingarm frame, The frame will take a 4 speed but a 6 speed softtail tranny hits the swingarm. I guess my only choices are use 4 speed or one of the new 6 into 4's or use a different frame. I don't want to cut up an original 66 frame.Thanks.
