    S&S 145 and custom build

I am building a custom softail right now and am at a point that a little info will go a long way. To start I had a custom frame built by wareagle which took 3yrs to actually get from them. I have inserted a S&S 145" Tribute with a 6-speed right side drive tranny and chain final drive to a Avon 300. The 145 came with a Super D carb and getting aircleaners for this is near impossible unless you want the standard S&S filter. So with a little research I came up with two options.

    1. A big bore PSI carb which will mount most aircleaners that fit a S&S G carb

    2. S&S Dual G-extreme system (for those who don't know what this is it is a dual manifold with two S&S super G carbs.)

So, my question is which of the two would be preferrable and does any one know of a company who can build decent exhaust for the 145"

i don't mean to tell you your business, but a double G is going to be a bit tough to tune.........

Thank you for your advice. I am building a show bike and already have a back up S&S super D. I know S&S give tuning tips but from what I have read their tips are very limited. I will contact S&S and see what they have to say. Thanks again.

That seems to be a big buck rig there.

The PSI Big Air is probably the most well thought out carb on the market.  They are not cheap by any means.

They will tune easily and give the 145 everything it wants from a naturally aspirated engine.

IF you want  a "well designed" exhaust system, your not going to look at any 2 into 2 systems for that beast.

I'm not sure how you are with asthetics but, I would give either RB racing or JBV racing a call.

They will produce a system for you that will do great things.

    Nowhereman.....who else?

RB racing would be an excellent choice for exhaust. They build Orca motors that are in the same neighborhood displacement wise, and they have stuff that will WORK.
