  I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good road side assistance company

AAA + RV, under $100 a year.....Not only will they take care of any car/truck/RV you're in, they will send a flat bed for your bike, and haul it up to 100 miles to a destination of your choice. I've used them a few times. The drivers are experienced in handling motorcycles. They also have a 200 mile package.

I belong to HOG (national) and HOG (local)  and they haved picked up my bike on 2 occasions and brought it to the nearest dealer......

I keep my ramp locked in the back of my truck, tie down straps behind the seat and a list of people I can call - then I can tell them where the key to the truck and the "expenses cash" are hidden.

I also carry a bunch of tools and spare parts (such as plugs & points) in the saddle bags - takes a square wheel or something else really bad for me to have to call.

 If you have full coverage insurance on your bike it might have some kind of road side assistance as does a H.O.G. membership ($45 per year) but I have never needed it so I can't say if they are any good.

 I think maybe I should renew my hog membership.  Plus you get a discount on parts.  thanks everyone

 AARP has a motoring plan w/ road assist.  I also used H.O.G. last July (flat rear tire on laced wheel about half way between Amarillo & Oklahoma City) without any problems.  Tire was installed new, with rim strip & tube, the previous week at Apache Junction, AZ H-D.  Evidently the tube was pinched during installation as new tire wasn't punctured.  Oh well, I guess it goes with the territory of running laced wheels.
