 MY STARTER STARTS MY 113 ci  ULTIMA ENGINE. I  RIDE FOR 1-2 HOURS SHUT DOWN ENGINE AND WHEN  I RESTART THE  ENGINE THE THE STARTER CLICKS AND WILL NOT ENGAGE, I ROLL THE BIKE BACK AND FORTH  FOR A WHILE AND IT FINALLY STARTS, SOMETIMES THE  ENGINE STARTS ONLY WHEN I PUSH BUTTON ON THE STARTER.  IT ONLY HAPPENS SOME TIMES THOUGH. DOES  A LOW BATTERY HAVE  ANY THING TO  DO WITH  THIS?  ANY ONE GOT ANSWERS FOR ME?

It could be the battery..put a meter on it and see what you get..or take it to a parts store and have them check it.
You might want to check it after you shut it off..read the voltage then check it in a couple hours..see if it changes, you could have something draining it.

When you push the button on the starter you are bypassing the relay switch. Check your wiring running from the handlebar switch, if possible.

  I am having the same problem.  It maybe the jack shaft gear is not connecting with your ring gear properly  on startup ..   The jack shaft gear may not be retracting properly and it"s  hanging up on your ring gear because there no longer inline with one another .. maybe check the primary fluid for discoloration  ..
