     Hi,

    Would I be able to fit in 5.5" rim into the rear of my 2001 roadstar? (without alteration to stock swing arm) if not what's the best bet?

     I would recommend you take a tape measure to the bike and measure this out right off the bike. Then you will know for sure if you will have the clearence to do so. Usually from past experience you only have enouph room to jump 1 tire size wider then what you are running from the factory.
