    Is anyone running a Thunderheader 2-into-1 Exhaust on a Shovelhead with a stroker motor ?

    Hi everyone...

    I'm considering a Thunderheader 2-into-1 Exhaust for my 96" Shovelhead and I'd appreciate any firsthand knowledge of the product.  Based on my research I'm confident it's a good product, but I'm really interested in issues anyone might have had with the install.  I'm a bit concerned about how well the pipes will fit on the heads, considering the height of the motor and the fact that the pipes are one piece.

    Cobra,

     They would work very well on a Shovel....... But..........I tried to find a set a couple years ago, and they were no longer available for the Shovelhead. Have you found them, and where?

     FX,

    Look no further ...J&P has them in stock (PN 440-779).  My set arrived yesterday but it will be a few weeks before I'll be able to install them.  It appears that they supply all the necessary hardware for the install but they don't give you any gaskets, just in case you decide to spring for a set.  If you're interested, I'd be happy to give you my opinion when they're installed.

    I got a new ride Cobra, '88 FXR. Wish I could have afforded to keep both................
