    1995 1100 Honda Shadow A.C.E

I recentlt began hearing a God awful noise comming from what sounded like the front end of my bike. I sounds like a metal on metal scraping noise. I've checked the rotor, caliper, brake pads, front suspension and fender. I cannot determine where the noise is coming from. It usually presents itself during slow down and sounds like scraping metal. The bike is a 1995 Honda Shadow A.C.E. 1100. I suspect the wheel bearings, but the front wheel doesn't have a wobble or feel loose. Any suggestions?

Do you notice the sound just when you apply the break or is it noticable all the time?

It's all the time. It usually begins when I begin to drop my speed with relaxing the throttle as well as applying the front brake or after stopping and beginging to roll out. It's only happened one time at 60 mph. The rest of the time it's below 50 mph.

    Jw,

Are you jacking the front wheel off the ground when you check for noise/wobble in the front wheel? Sure does sound like wheel bearings. I wouldn't ride it till you find the source of the noise.............News at 11.......Might want to pull the front wheel anyway and check the bearings for a fail-safe.
