    1976 FXE

I am rebuilding this bike, and wondered if it was reallt necessary to return all the wiring back into the headlight.  Wouldn't connections under the split tanks work better?   Headlight connections are a pain in the butt.

I cna see a couple of reasons why they would be in the headlight - the style of connectors used in '76 are not very water tight and if you have problems on the road, it is a lot easier to get into the headlight bucket than under the tank.

that said, I am thinking about moving miine to under the tank ('77 ironhead)
