I have a late model (2 yrs old),adjustable jet, Zenith-Bendix carb which supplies the go juice to my chopped, '75 Sporty XLCH. I rebuilt the carb as it got junked up from sitting. I put it all back together, and now fuel spills out of the overflow hole/throat of the carb. I think this must be a float problem. The float needle is not sticking and the fuel passage there is clean/clear. I adjusted the float per the specfications in the Clymer HD mannual so there would be 3/16" between the float and the bowl gasket. This did not fix the problem. I tried adjusting the gap from 3/16" to larger distances and I either keep getting spillage or don't get any fuel at all. I have taken apart and put back together the float bowl making float adjustments 9 times now. Any info would be appreciated.
