    vance and hines short shots

new owner,...2012 blackline with shortshot. loud bike, even before you hit it. don't know if baffles were installed. if they were, i intent to go with quieter ones.

    1, how to verify

    2, how to replace

    3, best tuner to use

rick - first, welcome to the forums - what part of the country are you from?

What tuner do you have now?  Stock?

to get the fastest response, you probably should send this question directly to J&P Customer Service (tab above) - they should be able to provide you with the part #s you would need, prices, availability, . . .

    hope this helps

The first tool out of the box should be the "book"  Geeked

you can look in the back of the pipe to see if b affles are there or not, they are held in with a bolt that is hidden on the back side or under neath the pipe.

They do make a quiet baffle for that bike Part #450-376 but I can tell you it doesnt make a huge difference on the short shots. It will quiet it about 10 db according to Vance and Hines. The FP3 (#126-995) is a good tuner that is fairly easy to use if you have a smart  phone and confident with it. If not I would recommend the Accel Supertuner (#212-376). Same ease of use but you dont have to download any apps on your phone to use it. Only thing you may have to do is plug it into a computer or laptop and download the updates.
