    Where are the V-rod parts?

I have a 2008 VRSCAW.  The last time I looked, it came up with one part.  A chromed dipstick.  The new catalog just arrived.  Because I couldn't find anything other than the generic "muli-use"  (how many headlights do I need?) I went online.  There are hundreds of parts for Sportsters, Dyna Glides, Tourers, etc.  Even the new Crossbones has a section.  But my V-rod?

If you want to sell to the V-rod customer, start stocking V-rod items.  This "not a true Harley" garbage has to go.  I see no reason to visit your store, or drive to it in Daytona if you believe my ride isn't a Harley.

Before you think I am overreacting, do this:  Open 20 pages at random.  Find the word V-rod anywhere, on any manufacturer.  You don't even carry seats for my bike.  And as for your exhaust systems:  One.  The Q for Quiet system.  Yeah, that's a big seller for the fastest accelerating HD in production history.

Give us performance parts for our bike.  Stock something for the V-rods, and the 30,000 forum members at 1130cc.com just might come back for a look.

Re: Where are the V-rod parts?

I have a 2006 VROD Night Rod "Special" and I have also had the same problem, but they do have wheels and tires for VRODS, and exhaust system updates and they have nice seat cushions, the air ride is exceptional, and air filters for VRODS, what you have to remember is Harley doesnt make very many extras for the VROD, maybe that will change with the 2009 VROD Muscle, but I personally love my year bike, my bike came with a 3.2 gas tank and now I have a 5.2 gas tank and my bike is custom paint and chrome everywhere, Get a HD Parts book and you will see all that there is for the VROD outside of J&P

Re: Where are the V-rod parts?

the biggest problem right now, with the tight economy, is R&D money is very tight. manufacturers who are looking to produce a new part or line of parts, are looking at high production numbers for the softail and baggers, and that's what they are making parts for. nothing wrong with the v rods, but parts and accessories for them just don't sell all that well, so the manufacturers aren't as likely to develope new things for them. if they don't make em, i can't get em. also, if you see something you want, say from drag or another distributor or manufacturer, let us know, we special order parts every day, that do not appear in our catalog, if we can get it, we'll be happy to order it for you

I am an 1130cc.com forum member, when they let me sign on.  Nothing but login issues since Max sold it.  Just tried again...no go.  Anyway, you obviously know who manufactures the stuff you want.  If there is something you want to order and it's available from one of our vendors, let us know and we can most likely get it for you.  Just because you don't see it in our catalog or on our website doesn't mean you can't get it from us.  Hit me up, I'll be happy to help you....and get some of the 1130 guys over here.  We need some V-Rod action.
