What Is Your Biggest Bang For Your Buck? (OR BEST BUY)

    I Know Headers

But for me it was buying the Panacea LED Taillight & LED rear Turn Signal ( for my 06 Sporty) It turned my stock rear turn signal ( only came on for a turn) into a LED--Stop, Runing & turn Signal

And The LED Taillight works as a Runing, Stop, & Turn signal as well. When you make a turn a LED Arrow comes on.

The Stock was pretty dark at night riding with 1 little light  on as a running light did not make me feel to well where there were no street lights.

That was my best Buy------ So What is YOURS?

    THANKS

    Scott

My shop manuals (yes, I have 3 - HD, Clymer & Haynes) and my spare parts catelogue - they have saved me thounds in labor charges

When workin' on your ride the first tool out of the box should be the manual

All good answers, I had to have repair manual, driving lights were great,  BUT........

Giving the little woman floorboads like mine instead of pegs, That has been wonderful for the health of my ears. MONEY WELL SPENT.

RUSH slip ons with 2" baffles.  Loud enough to hear and sound good when u twist the grip and not too loud for the neighbors when I putt out in the early morning or in late at night. I was thinking that my sweet wife might like floorboards eventhough she has never complained about the pegs.  Do they get in the way of your legs when u stop in traffic?  Sometimes when she is riding with me and I have stopped, her foot hits the back of my leg.  Im not sure but I think she might be resting her heel on the peg instead of the center of her foot. And no, she doesnt have big feet!  she wears a size 6 shoe...he,, he,,,,,

I think getting her a Softail Deluxe of her own to ride was money well spent. Now I don't care about where the pegs are, I can leave them folded up! Big Smile

Blew my right ear out a couple years ago ,so in windy and cold condition ,the earpads come in handy.

I agree with the posts on the manual.  Learning to be a do it yourself-er will save you hundreds in service fees.

There are a lot of things out there that will give you a big bang for your buck.  For me, I recently bought a larger gas tank to replace the 3.3 tank on my Sportster.  The way I ride my bike, I get between 50-60mpg.  This allows me to get an extra 50 miles before I need a fillup.

Another thing that will give you a good bang for your buck are switching out bolt on parts.  You can get relatively inexpenive parts that will completely change the way your bike looks.  A few things I've done to mine - smoke turn signal lenses, bullet style lights, visor add on for the headlight, new footpegs, and highway bars.

For you Sportster fans, some people do a 883 to 1200 conversion.  For me, instead I did a stage 1 kit.  Gives me more power without having to buy a new engine.

     Bang for the buck?

A marble and two small hose clamps!  I used the marble in the hose to the reed valves on my Drifter and the hose clamps to make sure it stays there.  It eliminated the popping in the V&H pipes, and cost me nothing!
