OK, I give . . . What tool do I need to remove the 2 brake pad pins from the caliper on front of 02 Road King Classic?

This how I did it on my 06 heritage, I think it is the same. your service Manual should give you step by step procedure.   loosen front reservoir cover remove some brake fluid to get the pistons back into the bore, unscrew pins till it quits unscrewing then pull the pins out till they clear the inside pad, use a  putty knife or screw driver to press the pad and piston toward caliper. remove pad, put new pad in. push pins back in at fluid pump pump up brakes.

The pins have some kind of funky head on them.  The heads are the same type as the bolts holding the caliper to the tube.  I've used a 12 point socket to loosen/tighten them.  However, the smaller pin bolts don't seem to cooperate the same way.  I'm just trying to get the pins bolts that hold the pads in place loose without messing up the head.  So far I've tried SAE, metric, and torx sockets.  None seem to fit.  How do you loosen these pin bolts?  Thanks!

On my 06 heritage the pins are 12 pt 10mm and harley will not sell the socket. I bought mine from sears. I can't say if mine is the same as a  02 roadking. I only have  a softail sevice manual. if you do not have a sevice manual J&P has them.

Mine is a craftsman 1/4 inch inside torx socket. There's a number on the socket-45806. Don't know if that's a part number or what.

Thanks!  I finally figured a 1/4 inch, 12 point, 1/4 inch drive socket will work.  My old 1/4 inch socket was worn and was spinning on it , acted like it wasn't the correct size.  The new socket fit perfectly.  I appreciate the help!
