    Gas pouring out overflow

I have a super e on my sportster. After every time i gun it i will get to a stop light and my bike starts pouring gas out the overflow hose. I thought it was getting dirt in there so i put an inline filter in and that didnt help. Any ideas? oh and it did it with the old carb too

    Re: Gas pouring out overflow

check the needle valve attached to the float (signs of wear, dirt).   If that and the bowl are clean, the float level might be too high - GENTLY press it down a bit.

I have had to adjust the float bown 2 or 3 times over the last couple of years on my $&$ E - itwas dumping fuel while the bike was just sitting there shut off (fule shut off) - has only happened once this year

    hope this helps
