    Ok Boyz and Girlz.. Got one for ya's.. Old School '73 FLH.. gettin harder to find tires for. matched front and rear tread.. Old School reasoning is they "HAVE TO" match tread design.. same style and manufacturer.. BUT.. I'm askin if anyone has done or tried.. or has some input on...

    Not even startin on the new bikes.. lol..makes my head swim..plug it in and read the codes.. I'm just thankful i live near Dragstrip..roflmao.. where they sell 110 Sunoco Racing fuel.. i run 1:3 ration ..racing fuel to stock cheap gas on my shovel.. and have "YET" to have an issue. although...

    Don't think it does either.. i put nut on high side on my rear..im used to workin without a bike jack..till recently. but your spacers..if any between wheel and swingarm most definitely do..if there is any..the spacewrs still have to remain on their individual sides. swapped mine oncve by accident...

    try again here..goofed first round..sorry to butt in but wouldnt the caliper not line up with rotor properly if spacer on wrong side.. if caliper fixed mount should have rough time gettin rotor up into caliper when sliding tire back into saddle.. just a thought..

    Just a thought.. if have to shim it? wouldnt it be just as easy to get inch long piece of conduit..cut in half so have 2 half moon clip type deals 1 inch long to place one piece over the handlebar and lay the new master over it.. would seem like leave room for lot less play in housing on handle bar and...

  • FLH-rear caliper. lost nut.

    This one makes me feel stupid.. only mostly cause i have no clue hopw it came to be. I am usually pretty thorough when tightening everything down on the old girl. But when i went to replace the rear oil soaked Brake pads today i noticed my retaining nut for lower caliper mounting bolt..not the bracket...

    cheapest way without knowing thread size is to buy another kit..J&P Part: 2400800 ..but bolt is different then my existing with acorn style like pictured in J&P Part: 244-865 . the chrome acorn nut is the one i lost.. found that out when i went to put my new Kevlar Pads on ..BTW thx J&P for...

    Got it sorted..took it to Freedom Harley here in North Canton area..come to find out ..it was not a stock replacement part but aftermarket mounting bolt..according to Wrench that been there for coon's age as he put it .. the original rear mounting on ORIGINAL caliper is spot welded in not bolted...

    like FX said..change out the fluid..wouldn't hurt to check it first..mat have been recently changed.. if bike has a kicker on it for kick start.. it is the flat headed screw lookin nut on top the tranny..this is your only fill hole and way to check fluid level..as far as level goes..with bike on...
