I took it in to have the full 4,000 mi. service work done and have the valves checked to see if they needed to be adjusted. the mechanic said he did adjust the valves and they were very tight. I have a 1986 VT1100 shadow that has three yellow wires under my seat that go to the crank pulse generator, they are very hot to the touch when bike is running, why is this, and what exactly does this part do, and can i eliminate it by disconnecting the three wires and taping off? I found them melted...

2006 roadie I am now riding to work each day and was wonder about adding a oil cooler. Is it worth installing or do they not help at all? If so do you have one you recommend over the others Florida weather hot and more hot
