  • Best spark plug for S&S Head

I didnt realize the S&S heads took a different size plug than the stock heads. Can some one recommend a spark plug for the S&S head on a 1200 sportster? Appreciate any advice, thanks.

  • Re: Mainshaft Bearing Inner Race removal when tool doesn't fit?

I had this same problem on a 94 Dyna wide glide and ended up using a small air grinder to get it off. these sleeves do have a tendancy to "walk" on the shaft which takes away the space you need to remove it. I have had sucess with using a hammer on the shaft knocking it in the opposite direction causing the sleeve to be pushed back near the original position and giving you enough room to get the tool in there. The draw back to doing this is even if you dont think you damaged your trap door

  • Re: Sportster Heads for a 92

Thanks for the reply Steve. The engine is natural so black heads wont work. He wants me to change pistons anyway so if the other heads come in natual they would be no problem. Please let me know. thanks I should mention that the engine already has a set of Andrews 2N8 cams installed also. Edited by reeserm on 4/11/2008 11:17:31 AM

  • Sportster Heads for a 92

I am rebuilding a 1200 sportster(was an 883 a lot earlier in life)for a buddy and called J&P to get help putting the parts list together (my buddy wants new pistons, heads and carb). I was told since the bore is 3.5", J&P doesnt carry the heads and dont know who would carry them (he suggested HD). The J&P tech said they only carry for 3 inch bore. Does this sound correct? And if so, anybody else know where I can get the heads? thanks, Mike

  • Replacement spot lights

I have 05 Road King that I would like to put smaller spot lights on. Are there any smaller lights out there that are direct replacements for the stock spot lights? thanks in advance for any input.
