  • Re: pinion alignment

Xea, Its a Andrews EV-51 Cam. How do I post pics on site?.I checked spacer and locktabs on other washer. Lobes of cam are not hitting. Also I double checked to make sure what difference is. Cam does stick out .101 further then the pinion. The cam cover goes on nice and easy and there is still cam endplay when tightened down with gasket. Thanks, Oldscoot

  • Re: pinion alignment

In reply to my first message. I may have led you astray. It is actually the cam stinking out further then the pinion after shims are installed correctly. .102" to be more exact. Now does this matter? Thanks again, OLDSCOOT

  • pinion alignment

hey Guys, I have a '97 fatboy basketcase on assembling the engine I'm running into a problem. I have new ultima cases, new ev-51 cam,new JIMS breather. When all these are in place my breather and cam seem to be pretty good on contact with each other. But the cam and pinion are way off, the pinion sticks out further then the cam about 1/8" further.Too me it just dosent look right .I shimmed cam already and breather too. Plese help if you can.. Thanks

  • Hidden throttle cable

Last year sometime I remember a post on how you could hide a throttle cable in handlebars (without buying the pricey Climax controls). Anybody remember how it was done? I wish I had saved it!

  • Easy Pull ?

In the Easy Pull Clutch Kit - there is a thick round piece that I cannot figure out its function. Looks like it "could" go over dip stick to prevent cable from wear, but what would hold it in place. A few of you have installed them, what's it for. Thanks in advance. Beautiful riding today, plan to use it up, RIDE SAFE & ENJOY.
