  • Re: oil consumption ?

I found the Harley TSB for oil consumtion. cut/paste this link: http://groups.msn.com/harleytechtalk/tc88fathead.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=961047&LastModified=4675585684691186895 Then go to message number 2, and click on the word "Here", once that opens up click on the box in the center of the page and it will open up to the Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)from the MoCo on oil consumption. I was wrong earlier, TC88 are 1 Qt. in 1500 miles. Edited by Nick@Nite

  • Re: oil consumption ?

I would suggest going to this site: http://groups.msn.com/harleytechtalk/tc88fathead.msnw And direct this question to "harleyhog"...he has a website in the UK with all the MoCo's service bulletin's...unfortunatly the MoCo forced him to shut down the site, but he could look up the 04 - 05 oil consumtion bulletin for you and tell you what it says. I read it before the site was forced closed and it pretty much said: 1 qt. in a 1000 miles was excepable, I just came off a 2800 mile round trip

  • Re: PCIII question

AZ is correct, in fact the instruction sheet that came with your PCIII say's to use dielectric grease on the conections. May want to use compressed air to blow the conections dry first before applying the grease. Good luck!

  • Re: V&H Pro Pipe HS on a 06 Road King?

I installed a V&H Pro Pipe HS a month ago on my 05 RK Classic, and I love the sound, I get off work at midnight and I try and be considerate to my neighbors as well, and have had no complaints, it does bark when you get on it, but if your just idling around its fine. The fit and finish is great, took about 2-3 hours to install myself...Im real happy I chose this system, after the power commander install and fine tuning....it is an all different bike now...good torque/power, mine is still an 88

  • Re: wireing short or?

Ive seen filliments inside light bulbs do weird stuff, like fall and touch the grounded portion of the bulb and still be able to burn, try a new bulb, chck back side of light housing where wires go into it, could be corroded. I would start at the bulb and work your way to the brake light switches. just a thought. n@n
