  • Re: Pulling a motor?

I don't know about the newer bikes, but on most shovels you can pull the primary, remove the tanks, remove the RH pegs and foot controls, take out the four lower bolts, take off the top motor mount and the whole engine will come out the RH side. I was afraid to do it until I actually did it!

I'm planning to go to a 95 in kit, but I'm debating whether to use flat top pistons or the high compression ones. I ride a 2001 fxdx se204 cam se breather, plan on keeping the heads stock. Any pros and cons of which pistons to use? Anyone using the HC pistons on this type of build? thanks how

  • Bum Outer Primary

Wouldn't you know it, I stripped one of the derby cover screw holes. Didn't over torque, but it looks like a heli-coil pulled out. Is this how the Mo. Co. manufactures the outer primary? Anyway, I'd appreciate suggestions on how to repair it. Heli-coil? Thanks, Deuce

  • Re: shovel valve adjustment

When expanding the push rod yes the spring will compress...the spring is part of the plunger-(piston), and the bottom of the spring sits on a machined step just inside the cylinder.

  • Chain Drive Question

I know this topic has been beat to death but here I go....I am seriously considering going with a final chain drive due to running more power. My question is what is everyones opinion on the reliability of chain versus belt. Yes I know chains are louder and must be oiled but other than that will this help me. If I do decide to stick with a belt then I will sacrifice some power.

  • corbin seat

I have a 02 flstfi. I am looking for a corbin gunfighter and lady seat. I have seen on different web sites that some will fit the flstf and not the flstfi. Is this correct and if so what is the difference?
