I am thinking about trading in my Low Rider on a new 09 Road King. The only problem is I am a short munchkin, only 5' 6" tall with a 28 inch inseam. I really like everything on the Road King such as cruise control, ABS brakes, etc., but I can not touch the ground flat footed with the bike upright. The salesman said they could probably lower the bike, but I'm concerned it will scrape the floorboards whenever I corner. Have any of you ever had to lower your bike, and if so did it drastically

Thanks for the replies. You have given me some great information that I didn't consider. I'll let you know what I decide to do. It's just a really big step and I like to have all my ducks in a row before jumping into something.

There is a module under your seat that has a battery in it. Go to your nearest Harley dealer and tell them you need a battery kit for your alarm module. If I remember correctly it will cost around $20.00 I have a 2002 FXDL also and the alarm was installed by Harley so it should be the same as mine. Hope this helps you. Ride safe , Smitty

What are your thoughts and comments concerning oil pressure gauges? Are they worth the money or are they just a show item? I ride a 2002 FXDL with a T/C 88 A engine. Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks for the info Xea. That's what I suspected. Can you suggest any thing else I should add to my bike to monitor the engine ? I have a digital dip stick thermometer, and a LeNale cooling fan on my bike , but otherwise it is pretty much stock.

Hi Sam, Are your signals also stop or running lights? My rear signals have an 1157 bulb which has 2 elements. If you have the same, it's possible that you have a bad bulb. If the bulb is OK, I would suggest you check your flasher. If they were working before, it has to be something simple. Also, when you changed the rear lighting, you did make sure it was 12 volt did you not ? I'm not sure if the Indian assembly you installed was 6 or 12 volt because you didn't say what year it was. Hope

Thanks for the advice. I didn't think about the police dept. I just hope they don't ask me to start the bike because I have Cycle Shacks on it. They would probably peg their meter; don't need no stinkin' tickets !!!!
