  • California Sporty 1200 06 problem Fixed

I have a California Sporty 1200 06 the problem I was having was just as if the Rev limiter was kicking in at 2000 RPM. The fix was on the other side of the gas tank is a gas vent with a hose that went to a one way (let gas fumes out but not let air in) that $5.00 part was stuck closed which caused all the problems. I almost spent $250.00 on a I.C.M. that I did not even need. California really sucks ( Leave your smog crap off my bike!) Thanks Scott Eyer

  • Re: 06 SPORTY 1200C-- High Performance Ing. ?

Thanks for all the input -- I am just going to ride my Sporty like it is. A much bigger problem down the road is the state of California ( which has no money) Tried to start Smog Testing for all Bikes from 2000 to new -- Thankfully that was shot down this time but I think the time will come which will make it a bear switching the parts back to past the smog test every other year. But it has not happened yet Thanks Scott Eyer

  • You Think It Matters When Your Bike Was Built ??

I had someone tell me not to ever buy a bike-car-truck that was made from Nov though Jan. because this is when the workers are thinking about other things & this is when most of the lemons are built thanksgiving-though New Years. My was built in NOV. & I have had my fair shair of problems, like a Bad Rear Master Cylender that should last for 1,000's of miles & mine goes out with just 5K on it.
