  • Re: Porkster Tank for Sportster

I know that this question was resolved a few years ago, but I have some additional input in case anybody is searching for this answer . This tank reminds me of the vintage bobbers and gives the bike a custom look. Some people don't like to see the extra frame, but some people do. It depends on your preference. I, personally, like this look. Do a Google search on Sportster Bobbers to see how it might look.

  • Re: 16" Ape Hangers

I agree that you should measure first. You can find all different lengths of cables on the internet. A while ago, I installed some mini-apes and found that most of my cables worked just fine as long as I released some slack, except for my front brake line for which I bought a new one off the internet. • Re: Forward Controls

I like my forward foot controls, but I had to get mini-apes in order to be comfortable (the drag bars just did not give me a comfortable ride with my forward foot controls). • Re: What Is Your Biggest Bang For Your Buck? (OR BEST BUY)

I agree with the posts on the manual. Learning to be a do it yourself-er will save you hundreds in service fees. There are a lot of things out there that will give you a big bang for your buck. For me, I recently bought a larger gas tank to replace the 3.3 tank on my Sportster. The way I ride my bike, I get between 50-60mpg. This allows me to get an extra 50 miles before I need a fillup. Another thing that will give you a good bang for your buck are switching out bolt on parts. You can get relatively

  • Re: Having trouble uploading on profile

I had the same issue. I didn't even notice the "Update" button and thought that I was OK if I just saved my profile. If anybody from jpcycles.com is seeing this, just a suggestion, but I'd recommend that this be updated so that it's easier to make these types of changes. Justin

  • Re: not a harley question, but

I have to second the suggestion for AVG free. I, too, use it on all my computer for many years and have never had a virus problem. Justin
