• Re: Ultima Support
A while ago, someone who is very sick decided to put a large amount of dirt into my oil bag while I was away from my bike at a rally.
Dang man that sux,... I can't imagine somebody just randomly pickin out a bike, particularly at a rally, and trashin it for the hell of it. It must have been someone that either knew you or mistook your ride for someone elses they thought the knew. either way it still sux...Hope ya get worked out...

  • Re: big nut

If its the tranny shaft nut, I went to the pawn shop and bought the size socket I needed for about three dollars, I cut the socket in half and welded a peice of 1 1/4 pipe about 5 inches long back inbetween the two peices and had a socket that would work for next to nothing.

  • Re: Softail oil level changes

Also, as your oil gets hot and cavatates in the crank case, it mixes with air that will increase the volume of the oil, as it cools and the air seperates from the oil it will loose volume.

  • Re: Squeaky Final Drive Belt

Hello Tuff!... I agree with tuff on the posabilty of the pulley alignment being out a little bit. Mine done that and got really annoying. I noticed spots on the belt lobes that were getting polished as I road (rubbing). I adjusted the pulley back ever so slightly on the side that was rubbibg and it took care of my problem....You should get a belt guage. I tried to adjust the belt to where it felt right and I wasn't even close...

  • Re: petcock options for a 4.5 gal tank
Hey staff, I need some help. I am installing a second gas tank on my bike to use as an AUX tank. I do not want to have a petcock screwed into the tank, instead, I want to install a nipple I can hook hose onto and then have a valve in the gas line to turn off the tank. does JP have some kind of a screw in nipple that will fit the 04+ stock 4.5 gal gas tanks? (I run in some endurance rallys and the extra gas is going to be a big help.) Thanks!! Cindy Dietz [/quote

  • Re: Wheel Trailer atachment

ALWAYS use double straps on the handle bars to secure the bike...the ones with the latch hooks are safer than the S hooks imo..

  • Re: difference ?

The staggered duals look to be one of v&h big shot pipe series. the stagered are just that with a baloney cut end. the regular big shots are the same lenght with even straight cut ends. They both extend to about the front of the rear rim.The big long shots extend to the rear of the back rim, they are an even pipe with a straight cut ends also.... the v&h straight shots look to be a set of slipons that use your existing pipes.

  • Re: Rear master cylinder 3/4 with single brake caliper

If it were me, I'd go ahead and use it...A bigger bore should just give you a little better hydralic advantage....but like I say,..thats just me.
Actually, no it wouldn't. A bigger bore would result in an increased hydraulic fluid displacment for a given amount of pedal travel. The force mutltiplier on the pad (or anything for that matter) in a hydraulic system like this is the ratio of areas. Area of driven object
